CHICAGO SCHOOL BOARD’S WORTHLESS 1.0.U.’5.
More than 14,000 Chicago school teachers have just experienced their sixth payless pay day.
The teachers have not received a cent of pay since last April, and the Board of Education now owes them 17,705,000 dollars (£4,500,000) in back salaries. Those who accepted city 1.0.U.’s found them practically worthless, as the bankers and merchants would not accept them. Most of the teachers are in need of relief.
