CHARGES BY NEW GUARD.
REFUTED BY POLICE. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) Sydney, this day. , Following the New Guards presentation of the petition to the Governor yesterday, Mr. Childs, Commissioner of Police, made a statement denying the truth of a number of references by the New Guard derogatory to the police organisation and impugning its integrity. Incidents were quoted to show that the police were subservient to some questionable incidents which had never happened.
