FRENCH DUTY ON WOOL
PROTEST BY MANUFACTURERS. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 1 p.m.) Paris, March 9. The Central Woollen Committee is demanding the withdrawal of the Bill introduced into the Chamber of Deputies, proposing an increase in the import duties on wool to subsidise the home-grown article. The committee shows that 90 per cent, of the raw wool used in France is imported.
