TE KUITI CYCLING CLUB
FIRST RIDE OF SEASON. WON BY K. JACKSON. The Te Kuiti Cycling Club held its first road race of the season last Saturday, when a 6-mile handicap was ridden under ideal cycling conditions. Keith Jackson, off 2 min., though only a novice at the pedalling game, rode a fine race to finish first, while F. Smith, 3 min., accounted for secbnd place. "Scottie" Peterson, scr., last year's club champion, showed he has lost none of his old form by gaining third place and fastest time. "Scottie" covered the distance in 16 mins., which is very creditable for a first ride after so long a spell. The next race will be held on Saturday next, when the same distance will be ridden.
