SCOUT NOTES
PROMOTIONS. (By "Campfire.") "Campfire" is pleased to report the following recent promotions:— P.L. J. Stranger, passed Journey, first-class test.
Second J. Ormsby, passed Journey, ney, first-class test. Second A. McLeod, passed Jourary, first-class test. Second D. Jones, presented star second year. Scout M. Ormsby, presented star first year.
Second A. McLeod, presented cyclist badge. Scout M. Ormsby, presented gardener's badge..
At a recent meeting of the Court of Honour it was decided that in future the weekly subscriptions will be 2d., instead of 3d. This came into force from last Wednesday. Owing to the delay in the District Rally we are having more practice on the competitions. The officers are quite satisfied that the boys are capable of some very good work. The shack is rather complicated, and the boys are required to concentrate on the work to make a job of it. Recently the time of the wall-scaling competition has been further cut down to one minute. This is indeed very good. "Campfire" understands that Scout C. Payne has now returned home from the Waikato Hospital. We are very pleased to report this.
