ROUSED IN TIME
EAGLE ABOUT TO ATTACK CHILD. In the - mountains near Intra, in Northern Italy, Batista Rhon, with his little girl of ten and his brother, went out for a walk, and arriving at a high point, threw themselves down on the grass to rest. Suddenly they heard a shrill cry and the beating of wings just above them, and the two brothers had barely time to raise their eyes to see a large eagle hovering over the little girl, with intent to seize her. The men succeeded in beating off the bird with their sticks.
