EMPRESS THEATRE
TO-NIGHT'S PROGRAMME. "Top Speed," a breezy comedy feature, with an all-star cast, will head the bill at the Empress to-night and to-morrow. The story is in an atmosphere of wealth and speed boats. The other attraction will be "A Notorious Affair," with Billie Dove, and a big cast. It tells the story of a talented but poor genius of the violin who wins the daughter of an English nobleman. Later, when his music has brought him fame —and feminine admirers, he deserts his wife. However, her pride prompts her to fight her rivals for his possession, which she does with an effort that only true love could inspire.
