"My own opinion is that the war debts should have been cancelled as soon as the war was over," said # the Rev. Fred H. Ross, of San Pedro,*Los Angeles, at Palmers ton North the other evening. Mr. Ross added: "We want to take our place among the company of nations of the world, and a kindlier feeling for America on the part of the other nations would have been ample compensation for any sacrifice we could make in connection with the war debts."
