HELP FOR UNEMPLOYED
APPEAL BY RELIEF COMMITTEE The local Relief Committee is urgently in need of assistance for those who are suffering through unemployment. The response up to the present has been most satisfactory, more especially from the country districts, but supplies are now falling off, while the cases that come before the Committee are on the increase.
An earnest appeal is made to town residents to forward donations of foodstuffs and so help the strained conditions of depleted family resources. The Civic League has been able to supply sufficient clothing to those affected by the economic conditions of to-day, but food of any kind is urgently required by many families. Any such donations can be left at Chronicle office, or with Mr. S. J. Williams, c/o Messl's. Barraud and Abraham, Ltd.
