Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., will be in Te Kuiti during the weekend.
Judge Aitchison, of the Native Land Court, who has been on a visit to the district, returned to Auckland last night.
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Steel, .of Morrinsville, are spending a holiday at Pio Pio. Mr. Steel was formerly Postmaster at Pio Pio.
A Press Association message from Halifax (Nova Scotia) states that the Lieutenant-Governor, Mr. Frank Stanfield, of Nova Scotia, was found dead in bed, aged 59.
