PROPOSED SALARY “CUT.”
PROTEST FROM TE KUITI.
At a well attended meeting of Te Kuiti and outlying districts civil servants, held in the Municipal Hall last evening, the following resolution was passed:— “That this meeting of the Te Kuiti and outlying districts civil servants protests most emphatically against the proposed wages cut as being crude, unscientific and unwarranted, and would suggest to the Government that the most equitable way of dealing with the present economic situation is to impose a higher scale of income tax.” >
