COMPARISON WITH OTHER ' COUNTIES.
Some people are of the opinion that the King Country is not progressing but some figures culled from the Statistical Report on"' the agricultural and pastoral production of the Dominion will show that the Waitomo County occupies an important place in the returns for the Auckland province. With the exception of Raglan there are more sheep in the Waitomo County than any of the other counties in the province, these being as follows: — SHEEP AND LAMBS.
The number of sheep In the other counties in the province range from 21,000 odd to 9000 odd. , CATTLE AND DAIRY COWS.
