Mr. J. D. Kerr, formerly of Taihape, who succeeds Mr. A. J. Bennetts as clerk of the court at Te Kuiti, has taken up duties here.
According to an exchange, Mrs. B. B. Wood, daughter of the late Sir Joseph Ward, will contest a Wellington seat at tfce next general election for the House of Representatives.
The engagement is announced of Iris Ethel, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Adams, Te Awamutu, to Harold Arthur, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Bennett, Paterangi.
