PERSONAL.
Sister Hayes, of 'the Te Kuiti Hospital, is at present on annual leave. She is being relieved by Sister I. M. Sinclair of the Waikato Hospital.
Mr H. Lane, manager of the Harrison and Gash Motor. Agency, Auckland, and party will arrive at Te Kuiti this evening. The party is en route to Christchurch.
At a committee meeting of the Te. Kuiti Branch of the Plunket Society, general regret was expressed at the resignation of Mr F. S. Duncanson as treasurer, a position that gentleman has occupied since the inception of the branch. It was largely owing to Mr Duncan's indefatigable efforts that a local branch was established in Te Kuiti, and many complimentary references were made by members of the committee of the splendid work he had carried out in this connection. The presentation of a suitcase was made to Mr Duncanson by rthe committee, and it was resolved to forward a letter of appreciation of his splendid services on behalf of the Branch. Mr A. D. McLennan has agreed to take * up the position of treasurer.
