MURDERED IN BUSH.
BELIEVED MURDERER ARRESTED. (Press Association.—Copyright.) Brisbane, this day. William Stewart, aged 23, of Scotland, was arrested on a charge of the murder of an unknown man at St. George. A bush tragedy was reported to have been discovered 15 mileß from St. George on Friday. Some fishermen found the partly buried body of a man aged about 24 in the dried bed of the river. He had been hastily buried in the sand, but the body had been uncovered. There were terrible wounds in the head and throat, suggesting that the man had been murdered. The remains of a fire were found where clothing had been recently burned.
