HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton,' reports: At the Hamilton Sale on Tuesday last, beef was penned in full supply, and prices were easier. Store steers met with a strong demand. The entry of fat sheep was larger than usuel, and competition was not keen, but last week's prices were generally maintained. A medium entry of store sheep sold readily at late rates. Messrs Abrahaan and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report on their Johnsonvillc sale held on Wednesday as follows:—A very nice quality yarding of all classes of stock came forward. The beef wa|s particularly well finished and the sheep and' lambs showed more quality than has been the case for yome time. Thei v e was a good attendance of butchers and the sale was keen throughout at prices in advance of previous week's quotations. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board hais been advised by its London manager that the following retail prices are being quoted for New Zca.la<nd lamb and nratton retailed in London on 30th March, 1928: ! FROM SOUTH AMERICA. The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received a cable from its representative at Buenos Aires, South America,, advising the following shipment to the Uftited Kingdom for the foi'tnight ended 29th March, 1928, from Argentine and Uruguay:— 102,150 quarters chilled beef, 1500 quarters frozen beef, 20,346 carcases frozen mutton, 41,245 carcases frozen lamb. The quantity shipped to the Continent of Europe during the same period as follows: 16,790 quarters frozen beef, 7939 carcases frozen mutton, 959 carcases frozen lamb.
