REVISED AUSTRALIAN TARIFF.
OPERATES IN JUNE NEXT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wellington, this day. The Minister of Customs, Hon. Downie Stewart, announces that he has been advised by t-lie Commonwealth Government that the date on which the increased duties on butter, cheese and potatoes affected by the recently revised Australian tariff, will become operative, so far as this Dor minion is concerned, cn and from 15th June next. The amended rates arc sixpence per pound on butter and cheese and 2s 6d per cwt on potatoes.
