MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
FEW LOCAL MISHAPS. Considering the very heavy holiday traffic, accidents on the roads in this district appear to have been comparatively few. Word was received yesterday that- a heavy Studebaker 1 car had been seen on the Pio Pio road near the eightmile with the radiator stove-in in a way which suggested a violent collision. About two miles further on an ancient car of unknown make lias been abandoned since Tuesday as it refused to go further. On the Rangitoto Road yesterday a gig with a. smashed wheel was lying in the ditch.
