STOCK SALE REPORTS. WESTFIELD. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Auckland, report having held their usual fat stock sale at Westfield on Wednesday, 3rd inst. Beef.—A large yarding, selling at last week’s prices. We quote: Extra choice ox 34s per lOOlbs, choice and prime 29s to 335, ordinary and plain 26s to 28s 6d, prime young cow and heifer beef 26s to 30s, ordinary 20s to 255, rough 14s to £l. Sheep,—A smaller yarding, prices being slightly in. advance of last week. Heavy prime wethers 37s to 395, medium prime 34s to 365, light 30s to 335, best heavy prime ewes made 30s to 34s 6d, medium 27s tol 295, others 22s to 26s 6d. Lambs.—A small yarding selling under keen competition at advanced prices. Best heavy prime 34s to 365, medium 30s to 335, light 25s to 295. Pigs.—A large yarding, prices being slightly easier. Heavy medium baooners £2 18s to £3 6s, light baconers and heavy porkers £2 12s to £2 17s, medium and light porkers £2 to £2 10s. Calves.—An average yarding, selling at slightly advanced prices. Loan and Mercantile Agency C'o., Ltd., Hamilton, report:— At Hamilton salo on Tuesday cattle were penned in average numbers. Ox beef was short of supply, but cows were well represented, and maintained last week’s rates. Store cattle sold under sfteady competition. A larger offering of sheep came forward, and prices were firmer. We quote: — Fat steers 10 9s to £lO 3s, fait oows £6 19s to £7 18s, lighter cows £5 10s to £6 12s 6d, cows in good condition £3 10s to £4 10s, store cows C2 to £2 12s, 15-months-old steers £2 17s Od, 15 months Jersey heifers £2 7s 6d to £3, fat wethers £1 14s 3d to £1 15s, forward wethers £1 11s 3d to £1 12s 6d, fat ewes £1 9s 2d to' £1 10s 9d, fat lambs £1 15s, 2-tooth wethers £1 10s 6d, forward ewes £1 5s 2d.
