“So far we have not noticed any abmornal demand for cars as a result of the big wool cheques,” remarked a member of a local motor firm. “There has been a quickening in business lately, certainly, but no more than usual at this time of the year. The tourist traffic is just beginning, and most men put off buying so that they can have a new car for Christmas.”
