CATHOLIC BAZAAR.
A PROFITABLE EFFORT. The annual bazaar of the .Catholic Church was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday and Friday, concluding yesterday evening. The hall, and the stalls '.loaded with attractive goods, were gaily decorattd and there were besides n, onerous games and competitions. Good business was done and a total of £l2B resulted. This marked success reflected great credit upon those responsible for tht excellence of the organisation. Those in charge of stalls were:— Fancy stall, Mesdnmes Rothery, RolIcston, Sheehan, Hogan and Gavin; produce stall, Mesdnmes Ferguson, Cotter and Mullins ; sweet stall, Mi's Clark; toys, Mesdnmes Gunson, Ivawe and Fowle; competitions, Messrs Brady, McAvenuo, and Walker, The art unions were won ns follows : Alluvial Gold: AY. Smith, ticket No. .12. Dressed Doll and Cot : Mrs Caution, ticket 57G5. Table Centre: J. MeAvenue., ticket 9672. Sapper Cloth; Mrs W. Edgar,'ticket 9538. Cushion: Air Semendeni, ticket 9220. Prizes for competitions were won as follows:—Trousseau, Aliss G. Roles; fuji nightdress, Mr Reidy; yellow jumper, Airs Larsen; baby’s frock. Miss Sykes; baby’s jacket, Air Parkinson (Opn.rure) ; blue jumper, Mrs Rothery; turkey, Mr McLennan; pillow shams, Airs Jeffcojtb; chair, Airs. W. S. Alunro. an—
