THE EVICTIONS BILL.
GOVERNMENT DEFEATED. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10.52 a.m.) London, April 7. The Government were defeated on the Evictions Bill by 221 votes to 212. Mr Ramsay MacDonald has made it clear that he does not contemplate resignation as a consequence of the defeat.
