PRISONERS SENTENCED. Granville Hunt, who pleaded guilty t<T obtaining £l2O by false pretences at Rotorua, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment by Mr Justice Stringer on Thursday. A youth named Frank Rickards was admitted to probation for three years on two charges of breaking and entering.

Joseph Harrison Love, late postmaster at Tokaanu, was found guilty on a charge of having forged a postoffice withdrawal slip and receipt, and stealing £3OO. He was sentenced to two years' reformative treatment. Thomas William Garnet, who was working with Granville Hunt, was charged with failing to account for various sums totalling £27 3s, and admitted to probation for two years on condition that he made restitution of the amount.
