PROPOSED BOROUGH LOAN.

Sir,—l understand a public meeting is to be called by the Council to discuss the above. I am given to understand this meeting is to be held on the ove of the polling day. I think this meeting should be held a reasonable time previous to the polling day to give ratepayers a chance of considering the matter. —I am, etc.,
