A London message states that a jeweller's traveller, carrying £30,000 worth of goods, and who was staying at a leading Harrogate hotel, received" a call from his bedi'oom, which he locked. He was the recipient of a bogus telephone message.! Returning to his bedroom 15 minutes later he found a jewel case cut open and the gems missing. He learned that a gueßt in an adjoining room had hastily departed.
