MORGUE WANTED.
A DOCTOR STRESSES NECESSITY,
CORONER’S APPROVAL. At the inquest concerning the death of William Green, held on Thursday last, Dr Will urged the necessity for the erection of an up-to-date morgue in Te Kuiti. The building at present in use was a carpenter’s shop, and at times it was extremely unpleasant for medical men, and painful to relatives of deceased persons to bold an inquest in such an unsuitable place. The coroner (Mr F. W. Platts) said he would make a recommendation in the proper quarter that a morgue be built but, of course, just at present, be could not say if such recommendation would have any immediate effect.
