Business had been bad, and at tho close of the week Zeno, the new wirarope walker, went to the manager foe his salary. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting, Zeno," tho manager said; "but w« pay alphabetically. If you'll be patient you'll get your turn." So Zeno waited, and went again to tho manager, who-said: "I'm very sorry, Zeno; but th» money gave out before we got to Z." The next season Zeno went out with tho same show. When the manager saw him, he said: "How do you do, Zeno?" He replied: "Don't call me Zeno; I've changed my name to Ajax."
