GERMANY'S COLLAPSE.
ALLIED NAVAL POWER. " MADE HER VICTORY IMPOSSIBLE. (Australian and N.Z. Gable Assn.) NEW YORK, Nov. 3. The New York Times says that Washington military authorities and officials are following the developments in Europe with the keenest attention. The interest is divided between the Versailles Council, and Austria-Hun-gary's disentegration. Most of the officials believe that the conflict will terminate in a l'ew weeks. There is much .discussion regarding Germany's weakening so suddenly after the tide turned in the Allies' favour, and the military authorities say that the answer is found in the naval power of the Allies. The British sea power accomplished for the Allies what seemed t.i be impossible, and, with the aid of America, the navies kept Germany from victory, even ' when she was achieving military successes on practically every front. Likewise, as soon as Germany began to lose, the Allies' sea power enabled them to make the victory overwhelming. WASHINGTON, Nov. 2. General Marsh has . issued, a statement that the situation has been transformed, the Allies having only one enemy now to defeat. Mr Roosevelt v predicts that Germany's surrender is merely a matter of days. KAISER'S ABDICATION AGAIN REPORTED. AFRAID TO ANNOUNCE IT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, Nov. 3. -It is reported in Paris that the Kaiser signed his {indication on "Wednesday but its publication lias been withheld fearing the effect on the public morale pending thereceipt of the armistice conditions.
