ARMISTICE SIGNED. TO TAKE EFFECT TO-DAY. - (Extraordinary Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The Governor-General has received an~ urgent message from M'r Lloyd George stating an armistice has been signed with. Austria, and takes effect at 3 p.m. to-day. IMMEDIATE PEACE PROMISED. - AN APPEAL FOR ORDER: (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) ; AMSTERDAM, Nov. 3. Advices state that the Vienna National Council has issued a manifesto to the army, which urges soldiers to maintain order, declaring that an immediate peace will be concluded. ANNOUNCEMENT FROM VIENNA. HOSTILITIES 'CEASE. \ (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) AMSTERDAM, Nov. 3. ; Vienna advices state that an armistice has teen concluded on the Italian front and hostilities have ceased. LONDON, Nov. 3. The Times states that the armistice was signed on Sunday afternoon, and fighting ceases on Monday. ENTIRE AUSTRIAN REGIMENTS SURRENDER. MONTREAL. Nov. 3. The United .Press correspondent, on the 'ltalian front, states that entire Austrian regiments surrendered in the Val Sagarina region.
