YIOTICEis hereby given that: — in pursuance and exercise of t". e powers vested in it in that behalf by tbe Counties Act IUOB and amendments thereto, the Local Bodies Loan Act 1913 und amendments thereto, the Public Works Act 1908 and amendment thereto, and all other Acta- if any—the Waitomo County Council propose ,to raise a Special Loan of three thousand pounds (£3000) for the purpose of clearing willows, removing rubbish, etc., and straightening the channel where required of the main stream—being portions of the Mangapuand Mangaojcewa streams —between Otorohanga and To Kuiti a distance of about 16 miles, also clearing willows, removing rubbish, etc., from the Mangamutu, Mangarapa and Mangapu Btrenms from their junction with the main stream to as far as the allocations will permit; and further to pay any compensatiin for land, or lands required to be taken or the purpose of carrying out the proposed work as allocated under the different headings, viz. : Main stream between Otorohanga and Te Kuiti £2350 Mangamuiu stream 100 Mangarapa stream ' !35U Mangapu or Wilson's stream 200 and further proposes for the purpoßeß of providing tbe required security to meet the interest, sinking fund, and any other charge during tho currency of the Btiid Loan being ;i period of 36 years to make an annually recurring rate of rive-eights of a penny in the £on tho Capital Value of all rateable properly within the Otorohanga-Hangatiki-Te Kuiti River Improvement Special Rating Area.
