BRITISH TRANSPORT SUNK.
ONE THOUSAND DROWNED. Received this day, 8.35 a.m. London, Tuesday. The British transport Royal Edward waa eunk in tha Aegean Sea. There were Bixteen hundred aboard and six hundred Were saved. SUNK BY SUBMARINE. Received this day, 9 a.m. London, Tuesday. The Admiralty state a submarine sank the transport Royal Edward in the Aegean Sea on Saturday. The transport had 32 officers and 1350 men aboard, besides 220 of a crew. Tne troops were mainly reinforcements of the 29th Division. About six hundred were saved. GERMAN SUBMARINE'S WORK. London, Tuesday. The Royal Edward was torpedoed by a German submarine.
