MR STRAUCHON TO RETIRE. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, This Day. Mr James McEenzie, SurveyorGeneral, has been appointed UnderSecretary for Lands in succession to Mr Strauchon, who retires at the end of next month. Mr E. H. Wilmot, Commisisoner of Crown Lands, Otago, is mentioned as likely to succeed to the Surveyor-Generalship.
