WAIMIHA-TANGITU ROAD.

COMPLETED THIS SUMMER. In connection with the pushing ahead with the work on the WaimibaTanentu road the settlers are naturaliy anxious tv have an ssurancs as to when the permanent road will be completed. As the only avenue of communication between them and the cutside world it is a highly important thoroughfare, and the following letter to Mr C. K. Wilson, member for the district, from the Minister of Public Works, will be appreciated: "Referring to your representations, urging that instructions should at once be issued to proceed With the metalling of the above road, I have to advise you that this work is in progress, but the wet conditions of the road, which is only now drying up after the winter, has prevented much work being done so far. All preparations are, however, being mads which will enable the work to be completed this summer. —W. Fraser, Minister of Public Works.''
