LAWN TENNIS.
The committee of tbeTe Kuiti Lawn Tennis Club met in the Chronicle office yesterday. It was resolved that the president and secr-tetary be authorised to operate on the club's account at the bank. The ladder matches are to be arranged, and the members' names are to be placed upon the ladder in the order in which they start to play, The usual ladder macch rules will be adhered to. Several accounts were passed for payment. A letter vjas received from the secretary of the King Country Union, stating the day ox the annual meeting and asking the Te Kuiti Club to appoint a delegate.—lt was resolved that Mr B. Havson. of Mangapebi, be asked "to act as delegate for the Te Kuiti Club. The secretary reported that the tar for thVasphalt court would be to hand very soon and it is anticipated that the contractor for the new cojrt wll commence work forthwith.
