During a discussion on the atriKe in Parliament Sir Jospeh Ward said he had received s telegram from Stratford asking him if it was true that he was one of the largest shareholders in the Union Steamship Company. He wished to state that he nover had been a shareholder, nor was anyone connected with Irm a shareholder in the company. Mr Massey laughingly said what was being: said about the Leader of the Opposition being a shareholder in a certain company was nothing to what was being said about himself.
