CONTEMPT OF COURT.

ARgociation.—Copyright Received November 18, 9.30 p.m. Sydney, Last Night. 1 A full Court has adjudged the "Daily Telegraph" and "Evening News" guilty of contempt of Court in publishing what purported to be a confession by Senkovinch Proset, confined at Darlington on a charge of murdering Eismond at Bourke. The Chief Justice, in delivering judgment, expressed the opinion that the alleged confession was calculated to prejudice Senkovinch in the eyes of the public, from whom the jury to try him would be chosen. Justices Cohen and Street concurred.
Each paper was fined .£IOO and costs. Simitar proceedings initiated against the "Sunday Times" and the "Melbouruo Age" have been abandoned.
