Mrs Cross held her usual dancing class on Tuesday night, when a fair number of pupils attended. After the dancing lesson about twenty couples went on the floor and a very pleasant evening was spent. The dance concluding at 11 o'clock. Music was supplied by Miss McDonald, and extras were given by Mrs Morgan, Mr Morgan, and Mr Cross. At a meeting of the King Country Acclimatisation Society, held yesterday afternoon in Mr Mussen's office, it was resolved: "That Mr Moorhouse be asked to attend the meeting of the Auckland Society, wbicb is to be held in Auckland on Tuesday next, and that he should ask for 260,000 trout fry for the King Country streams, and also to make arrangements for a supply of pheasants and quail. The excellence of the table at ths banquet to the Acting-Premier on Tuesday night was the subject of general remark and Mr Jennings, in referring to the rapid progress of the district during the past few years drew a comparison between the banquets ol past years and those of today. Mr Kerr is to be complimented upon the style in which the table was prepared.
