Waitomo County Council. SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. - IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows : That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of One thousand pounds (£1000), authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling the Mangaorino Road, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pence (2d) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangaorino Special Rating District, comprising Sections 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District; Sections I and 7, Block XV, Orahiri Survey District; Sections I, 2, 3 and 4, Block IV, Otanake Survey District ; Sections 3A and 38, Puke-roa-Hangatiki; Te Kumi, No. 5 ; Te Kuiti, Nos. 2A& 3, & that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the thirty-first day of March and thirty-first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off. VfOTICE is hereby given that a special meeting of the Waitomo County Council will be held in Mr Ernest Kerr's Commercial Room, at Te Kuiti, on Friday, the 20th day of December, 1907, at 11 a.m., to make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on the 31st day of April, 1907, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1908, namely, A General Rate of three-farthings in the pound, made under the provisions of " The Rating Act, 1894," on the rateable value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property within the County, on the basis of the capital value.
