HOCKEY.
LADIES’ CLUB. A committee meeting of the Ladies' Hockey Club took place at the residence of Mrs T. Boyd, Beach Road, on Monday night, when various matters were dealt with. Mrs S. Low tendered her resignation as president, which was accepted with regret, and it was decided that Mrs Boyd carry on as president for the remainder of the term.* It was unanimously agreed to rescind a previous motion respecting the men’s and women’s club combining until the end of the war regarding finances, and that the women’s club carry on as previously. The club will be pleased to co-operate with the players of the men’s club in matches. The secretary was empowered to make the necessary arrangements for matches against Cheviot and Christchurch teams, the club to pay half the fares of players proceeding to ChrisU w church. At the conclusion of the business those present were provided with supper by Mrs Boyd, and a vote of thanks ■was passed to her for her hospitality.
