NEW PRODUCE AGREEMENT

PRIME MINISTER ADDRESSES DAIRY CONFERENCE. WELLINGTON, August 3. New Zealand will receive lump sum payments from Britain amounting to £28,000,000 under the new dairy produce agreement which has just been completed, and in addition will receive an increased price for the season just closed representing another £4,500,000, and increased prices this season and next season. The United Kingdom Government has also agreed to payments under the Memorandum of Secuirty amounting Io £18,000,000 being suspended until after the war, when the question of payment will be reconsidered. These details were given to the Dairy Board Conference to-day by the Prime Minister (the l»’L Hon. P. Fraser). Mr Fraser said discussions on meat prices were continuing.
