DAIRY FARM WORKERS’ WAGES.

Increases in the wages of dairy farm employees, which are made under the Agricultural Wages Fixation Order. 1944, because effective on Tuesday. This is the first alteration of wage rates for lower-paid categories of workers authorised by a recent amendment of the stabilisation regulations. The new rates are: Workers under 17 years, increase from 24/6 to 31/9 a week; 17 and under 18, from 31/6 to 40/9; 18 and under 19, from 38/6 to 49/9; 20 and under 21, from 53/ to 68/6; over 21, from 60/ to 77/6. The lodging allowance is ■ unchanged at £1 a week. |
