SUGAR TO BE RATIONED
GOVERNMENT SCHEME PROPOSED WELLINGTON, March 17. The intention of the Government to introduce a .scheme for the rationing of sugar was announced by the Minister for Supply (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan), when replying in the House of Representatives to-day, to a question asked by Mr J. A. Lee (DemocraticLabour, Grey Lynn), on behalf of the Hon. W. E.‘Barnard (Democratic Labour, Napier). The Minister gave no deta.ils of the scheme, merely stating in answer to the question: “The answer is in the affirmative.”
