PROGRESS OF APPEAL. WELLINGTON, June 2. The total sum received to date for the £1,000,000 All Purposes Patriotic Appeal is £832,100, according to the Honorary Dominion Organiser of the appeal, Mr J. Abel, in a statement issued to-night. In the last ten days the fund had increased by approximately £27,000, Mr Abel said, the main sources being Southland £lO,OOO, Otago £BOOO, and Auckland £4OOO, and waste produces £5OOO. For the various provinces the figures were:—Wellington £205,000, Auckland £174,000, Canterbury £109,000; Otago £BB,OOO, Taranaki £69,000; Hawke’s Bay £54,200, Nelson £37,300, Southland £30,500, East Coast £27,000; Marlborough £18,900, Westland 14,200, miscellaneous £5000; total £832,100.
