THE KINGSDALE CASE.
DUNEDIN, May 7. The Supreme Court was filled with a large crowd of people to-day to hear the continuation of the alleged ringing-in at the Gore Trotting Meeting in October of last year of The Dingo for the trotter Kingsdalo. The accused, John Kichards and Walter Leonard James Cameron, were indieted on four counts of conspiracy to dpfci'.iid tjie pore Racing Club, and the public. After erablo evidence had been taken the Judge, in summing up. pointed out that the measurement of The Dingo was made by an amateur, nnd that it might not have been quite accurate. The jury, after a retirement of half an hour, returned with a verdict of guilty against both accused on the first ■Hid second counts, and added a recommendation to the New Zealand Trotting Association to exercise greater care in accepting registrations. The Judge complimented the police on I lie manner in which they had ■coljcetci the evidence. Penlcnce was deferred.
