Provision Made for Returned Men (Pet United Prees Assn.) Wellington, Thie dey A statement concerning the Government's treatment of soldlere invalided from overseas was made to-day by Hon Mr Jones. Fall provision has been made for |tbe treatment and rehabilitation of meo when they return, including medical, boarding and classification treatment where necessary, pay or pension while in hospital, provision of mofcl clothing allowance, travelling warrants, etc.
Unless otherwise determined by Adjutant-General, no soldier who is returned to New Zealand on aoeonnt of physical unfitness due to being wounded or sickness, is to be discharged from the Army until provision has been made him under one of the following headings; Granted war pension, replaced in former civilian occupation or suitable employment, or granted monetary benefit by Soeial Security Department pending his return to civil ooonpatlon.
