PASSENGER MISSING

FROM W ANGANELLA. (Per United Prem Am.) AUCKLAND. Last Night. A saloon passenger. Mrs Hannah Wild, 59, disappeared from the Wanganella during the trip from Sydney to Auckland. It is believed the woman’s home was in Australia. When the Wanganella, which arrived at Auckland this morning, left Sydney on Friday afternoon, Mrs Wild was seen leaning over the rail waving to friends on the wharf. It was noticed that she was crying. The woman’s absence was discovered on the following morning, when the stewardess found she was not in her cabin. A thorough search of the ship was made, but without result. Her bag and coat were found near "he ship’s rail.
