RANGE OF PRICES. (Per United Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, Last NightThe following report has /been issued hy the Auckland Wool Brokers’ Association at the third and final Auckland sale of the 1933-1934 seasorn The offering totalled 15,833 hales and there was a full bench of buyers, but competition was erratic, owing principally to the lack of bidding by German buyers.. Approximately 70 per cent, of the offering was sold at auction. T/he wools not affected by the lack of German competition were firm on the pieces at the recent southern sales, but others were easier. In general wools, 50’s and over were about on par, 48’s and under were Jd to Id easier, and lambs wool was about Id to lid below the recent New Zealand sales.

The range of prices was as follows, March 1933 values being shown for purposes of comparison in parenthesis Medium halfbred 50/56 average 14<J to 16d (81d to 9£d), inferior lljd to 13$d (sid to 6sd), sou|hdown 132 d ti 15:5; extra fine crossbred 48/50 average Hid to I2sd (6id to 7id), inferior B}d to 10£d (3d to sd); fine crossbred 46/48 average 9£d to ll£d (55d to 6fd), inferior 75d to 9Jd (2£d to 4d); medium crossbred 44/46 average 7Ad to 9d (3£d to 45d), inferior 5d to 7|d (to 2|d); coarse crossbred 40/44 average 65d to 7£d (25d to 3Jd), inferior 2Ad to 6d (l£d to 2d); low crossbred 36/40 average 5 to- 65d (2d to 3d), inferior l|d to 2d; hoggets extra super halfbred 14d to 165 d, halfbred 12d to 14d (7d to 95d), fine to 115 d (5d to 7Ad); medium 7d to lOd (4d to sd), coarse 5d to 7-Jd (3d to 4d), lambs down 12d to 15£d; fine' 46/50 6d -to 125 d (5Ad to 7£d), medium 44/46 7d to lOd (3d to sd), seedy and inferior 5d to 8d (id to 4d); belQes and pieces crossbred good to super 5d to 7|d (25d to 35d), low to medium 3d to 4|d (l|d to 25d); crutchings medlium to good 5d to 6Ad (2d to 2Jd), inferior to seedy 3Jd to 4Ad (Ad to lAd), locks crossbred 3d to 4d (to l|d).
