AT LINTON MINE .£7 ■ may be called off (Per United Press Ana.) INVERCARGILL, Last Night. It is understood that an effort will be made to resume work at the Linton coal mine tomorrow morning in the hope of bringing to an end the strike which has lasted more than six months A section of the Unionists has been anxious for the strike to end so that they could resume work but as the majority are not in favour of resuming on the owners’ terms it has been impossible to make progress. It is stated that an opportunity wi'l be given tomorrow for such miners as are prepared to accept work to -to so.
