P ecd 9 45a m Sydney, This day In a speech at the Millions Club, the German aviator, Bertram, said an aeroplane that would travel through space at tbe rate of seven hundred to one thousand miles per hour, and carry mails from I Australia to Europe in nineteen hours, is regarded as an almost accomplished fact. A plane, constructed by Professor Junkers, called the “ Stratoplane," was now ready for trials. The maohine would mount fifty thousand fset into the stratosphere and travel at a speed up to one thousand miles per hour.
