INANGAHUA HOSPITAL BOARD

The usual monthly meeting wzi held on Thursday evening at 7 o’clock. Present: Messrs J. B, Auld (chair), F Seawright. G B Me* Inroe, J O Byrne, T R Watson. W F Archer. W Blackadder, W Clayton. Dr Marshall, Medical Superintendent was also present. The minuies of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, the outward correspondence read and approved, and inward correspondence read and dealt with as follows: From Waiuta Miners’ Medical Association re equipment of Waiuta Hospital and stating that the Secre. tary of the Associ ition would wait upon the Board. Messis Murleyand Ord waited upon Ihe Board on the matter. Thev considered the terms too bard, and hoped that the Board would allow them the use of the furniture and equipment a a nominal rental. They suggested that these articles be given to ihe Miners' Medical Association free of cost. The deputaiion thsnked the Board for tbe attentive hearing given them and withdrew. The Chairman moved that unless ih; Waiuta Med.cal Association guaranteed patients' payments at +s fid per d-y all patients be charged the full rate 9s per day and the Bond take the risk of collecting the fees. Mr Archer seconded. The mot on was put at d carried Resolved that the Boird’s former resolution re payment for equipment at Waiuta Hospital be adhered to.
